Linking computers, peripherals and networks to others in the office, shop or lab can now be accomplished with the OMQ-8000. The OMQ-8000 is a fast efficient intelligent data switch and protocol converter. The OMQ-8000 is used to link computers and peripherals so many users can share printers, plotters or synch or asynchronous modems. 256 K memory is standard on most models and expandable up to 1 Meg on all models. Each OMQ-8000 has eight bi-directional, individually selectable asynchronous RS-232 ports and one optional synchronous port. The synchronous port may be ordered as a high speed synchronous RS-232 port or a high speed multi-drop line for interconnecting OMQ-8000 units. Up to 64 units may be linked creating 64 addressable nodes and 256 asynchronous serial ports.
